Welcome to the GW LGBT Alumni Association (LGBT AA)! The GW LGBT AA fosters connections with the LGBT alumni community through events, reunions, and other special activities and supports university initiatives for current LGBT students at GW.
Since April 2007, the GW LGBT has hosted a number of networking events in the D.C. area and participated in GW's annual Alumni Weekend tradition, as well as the Capital Pride and Black Pride Festivals in Washington, D.C. This year we co-hosted a LGBT Alumni Reception at the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. The reception included remarks from GW President Stephen Knapp; GW associate professor of law, Joan Schaffner; GW LGBT Resource Center coordinator, Aaron Fox, GSPM MA '08; president of the student group Allied in Pride, Michael Komo; and the development director at HRC, Chris Speron, CCAS BA '91, SPPPA MPA '93.
The GW LGBT Alumni Association welcomes all GW alumni and friends interested in supporting excellence in education, and building pride, spirit, and community.
